Best Ways to Market Your Business Offline

The common internet marketer spends the majority of is day in front of his computer. You might spend your time writing a ton of articles, tweaking your PPC campaigns, or searching for a higher converting affiliate product. Here’s something to think about, the majority of people you come in contact with do not sit at their computer all day and night. There are droves of buyers waiting for you to step away from your computer so you can make them aware of your site, its content, and your offers. A good business person will market his or her business to every potential customer he (or she) can reach. To reach your income goals you can take advantage of offline marketing. You can now reduce the amount of time that you spend in front of your computer and increase your profits.

Direct mail can work wonders to drive business online.  I have seen an autoglass company use direct mail to build a strong email list. Almost every newspaper has a classified ads section. There are many online classified sites, the most popular is probably Craigslist. Many internet marketers simply don’t think of placing an ad in their own local paper. The fact is, if you write a good ad, you can get a lot more (offline) “traffic” to your ad than a comparable online ad would receive. Of course, there is a charge to advertise in a newspaper, but does this really matter if it results in lots of sales? Remember, even people who don’t have computers read through classified ads sections and these people do have ways to buy your products through computers in cyber cafes or at the library!

Try leaving your business card in books at the library. One tactic is to strategically place your cards in library and bookstore books that are related to your site’s topic. All it takes is for you to do is pull a book off the shelf shuffle a few pages, in conspicuously place your card in, and then return it back to its spot. Don’t worry – you probably won’t get in too much trouble if you get caught – probably nothing more than a strongly worded warning!

Remember that no matter what your business is, be it a dentist or an auto glass replacement shop, direct marketing can reach a whole new audience. Pay for a spot in the phone book. Most online marketers never consider advertising in phone books. It is often said that when people are looking for an address or phone number that they will search the internet instead of picking up a phone book. This doesn’t matter because the phone books now have websites to do your searches in addition to the paper version.

You can benefit from placing ads in both! You can expect a lot of traffic by taking advantage of both resources. Phone books are still very effective.

There is no shortage of ways to advertise your services offline! For best results, you should regularly use some of your marketing budget on offline methods of marketing. Many internet marketers forget to do this, and thereby lose a significant number of possible customers! If you want to make money, why would you want to ignore so many possible customers? Your business will expand faster if you include all the marketing possibilities you can.
